Road trip to the Kutztown Folk Festival

Time again for the Kutztown Folk Festival

Here is another Pennsylvania treat...
It is America's oldest continuously operated folklife Festival. The nine day event continues to draw visitors from all over the world, entertaining families while providing valuable insight into the traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch and their fascinating way of life. The festival also houses the largest quilt sale in America.

Here is info on the quilt...Kutztown Folk Festival Quilts

And then you have the crafts...
How about blacksmithing, weaving, woodcarving, metalworking, paper cutting, pottery, decoy carving, redware, baskets, crochet, treenware, leather, jewelry, chair caning, tole painting, furniture, soapmaking, pewter, tinning, brooms, stained glass, toys, old world Santas, bonnets, hex signs, and much more!

Are you ready for the food...
How about an ox roast or bread made in the 19th century bread oven. For dessert you can always have shoo-fly pie, funnel cakes or apple dumplings

Check out the calendar to see the great events!
